Peer-Review and Editorial Policy

P2EAP engages in a strict peer-review process to ensure the academic quality and integrity of its publications. Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers, after which a final acceptance or rejection decision is made. The Editor-in-Chief bears ultimate responsibility for maintaining the quality of the publication process, including final decisions on acceptance.

Upon submission, the managing editors conduct an initial assessment of the manuscript to verify its alignment with the Aims and Scope of P2EAP, its overall scientific quality, and to check for plagiarism. Manuscripts that do not meet the journal's standards, are outside its scope, or are found to involve plagiarism are rejected at this stage.

The journal follows a single-blind peer-review process, meaning that authors do not know the identity of the reviewers, while reviewers are aware of the identity of the authors. At least two review reports are obtained for each submission. Reviewers are selected from the Editorial Scientific Board, qualified experts from the reviewer database, or identified externally through web searches of relevant scientific literature. All reviewers must have appropriate expertise in the subject area of the manuscript and no conflicts of interest with the authors.

Reviewers are typically given 14 days to complete their evaluation. Their reports form the basis of the Editorial Board's decision, which may fall into one of the following categories: accept, reject, minor revision, or major revision. Authors are expected to respond appropriately to reviewer comments and revise their manuscripts accordingly.

While reviewers provide recommendations, the Editor-in-Chief retains the right to make a final decision, even if it diverges from reviewer opinions. In such cases, a detailed justification is provided for the benefit of the authors.

The journal emphasizes editorial independence: members of the Editorial Board do not interfere with the scientific opinions of reviewers. Furthermore, Editorial Board members are not involved in processing their own academic work. Their submissions are assigned to at least two independent external reviewers, and decisions are made by uninvolved Editorial Board members without conflicts of interest.
